Questions

How many countries are in this quiz?

49: the countries of Asia, including Russia and Turkey, which cross into Europe, and Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Caucasus. Taiwan and Palestine are asked as places.

Why are some disputed places in the quiz?

The quiz asks where places are on the map, not whether every country recognises them. Taiwan and Palestine are on most classroom maps, so they are asked like any other place.

How is the score worked out?

Your score is the share of places you found on the first try. A place you find on the second or third try turns amber and does not count toward the score; after three misses it turns red and the quiz moves on.

Can my class use this?

Yes, free, with no sign-up and no ads. At the end, students type their name and take a screenshot of the result card (map, score, time and date) to hand in.
