Kindergarten children draw most of their answers: give them the kindergarten page, read each box aloud, and let them write just their name. First and second graders can finish the sentences on the grades 1-2 page on their own. The poster works for both: hang a class set on the wall in the first week, or send one home to fill in with a grown-up.
Read the free This Is Me book first. Tess the elephant tells about her family, her favorite food and what she wants to be, which gives children words to use on their own page.
