Definition
Punctuation marks are symbols that help readers understand writing. A period (.) ends a statement. A question mark (?) ends a question. An exclamation point (!) shows strong feeling.
Tip: Statement → period. Question → question mark. Strong feeling → exclamation point. List of three or more → commas.
