Definition

Capitalize the first word of a sentence, the pronoun I, and proper nouns (names of specific people, places, and things).

Tip: Always capitalize: first word of a sentence, names of people/places, days, months, holidays, and the word I.

1 Identify the Capitalization

Circle the capitalization(s) in each sentence. Includes an answer key.

Directions: Read each sentence. Circle every capitalization you find.
