About these cause and effect worksheets

A cause is why something happens, and an effect is what happens. These passages are full of both: why leaves change color, where rain comes from, what happens when you leave your umbrella at home.

Each question page has a chart with three cause and effect pairs. One box in each pair is blank for the child to fill in. The questions also point out signal words such as because, so and as a result.
