Burt had a pet hen named Bell. Bell did not run today. She just sat in her pen. Burt felt a big urge to help her. He saw her leg. It was hurt!
Burt ran to the nurse. "My hen is hurt!" said Burt. The nurse came to see. She took soft fur from a bag. She did wrap the leg. She gave the wrap a turn. The wrap did curl. "Let her rest," said the nurse.
Soon Bell did sit up. Then she did stand. Bell could turn and run again! "No more hurt!" said Burt. He set out fresh bits. Bell did eat with a fast burst.
Burt put his hand in his purse. He gave the nurse a tip. "Thanks!" said Burt. The nurse did smile.
