Pam went to the farm mart with her dad. Pam wanted to help him carry things. "I will pull the large red cart," she said. Her dad smiled. The cart was not hard to pull on the path. Dad got a big jar of red jam. "This is a fine tart jam," he said. He held the large jar in his arm so it would not fall. Pam and her dad went past the big red shed. They started for their car. When a is followed by r, the r changes the vowel sound. ar says /ar/ as in car.
