The packet has 16 math sheets, 16 reading sheets and 8 fine-motor and fun sheets. The math is counting to 10, ten frames, before and after, counting to 15, more and fewer, adding within 5, sorting by size, patterns, a first graph, number words, taller and shorter and a color by number spider web.
Skills are set for the second month of kindergarten, so letters and sounds come before whole words. The reading sheets cover letter tracing, big and small letters, the alphabet in order, first and last sounds, rhyming and syllables, then short-vowel words such as cat, bug and web and the sight words I, a, see, the and can.
Every sheet stands on its own, so use them in any order: morning work, a center, a sub folder, homework or a quiet half hour at home. Each has one direction for an adult to read aloud. A few are cut-and-glue sheets, so have scissors and a glue stick ready.
The pictures are pumpkins, leaves, apples, owls, bats, spider webs and one friendly ghost. Nothing is scary. For more practice on one skill, see the kindergarten math worksheets, the sight word worksheets, the phonics worksheets and the November packet.
