About Number Line Hop

Number Line Hop is a free number line game for kindergarten to 2nd grade. The river is a number line from 0 to 20, and each round is one walk along it. Every problem starts where the fox is standing, so 6 + 3 takes him to 9, and the next problem starts from 9. Your child taps the stone where he will land, and he hops there one stone at a time. Every walk ends on 20, where a friend is waiting to be rescued. There are 17 friends to rescue, one at each stop on the map.

How it teaches

The 17 stops

Stops 1 to 5 hop up by 1, 2 and 3 (counting on, kindergarten and early 1st grade). Stops 6 to 10 hop up and back by up to 5 (counting back, 1st grade). Stops 11 to 17 make bigger jumps across 10 in both directions (1st and 2nd grade). The first stop of each group is always open, so an older child can start where they need to.
