The packet has 16 math sheets, 16 reading sheets and 8 fine-motor and fun sheets. The math is subtraction within 10, number bonds to 5, flat and solid shapes, naming the cube, cone, cylinder and sphere, teen numbers on ten frames, counting to 40, adding within 10, making ten, more and fewer, taller and shorter, patterns, a winter graph and writing the numbers 31 to 40.
The reading sheets cover the letters b, f, l and j, first, middle and last sounds, rhyming, sound boxes, short u words such as cub, hut and pup, the -ug and -un word families, words that end in ff, ll and ss, a short story, and the sight words we, me, he, she, and and look.
Every sheet stands on its own, so use them in any order: morning work, a center, a sub folder, homework or a quiet half hour at home. Each has one direction for an adult to read aloud. A few are cut-and-glue sheets, so have scissors and a glue stick ready.
Every sheet has January pictures: snowmen, penguins, mittens, ice skates, a snowy cabin, a sleeping bear and a cardinal. There is nothing about Christmas, so the packet works right after the break. For more practice on one skill, see the kindergarten math worksheets, the kindergarten shapes worksheets, the sight word worksheets, the December packet that comes before this one and the February packet that comes after it.
