The packet has 16 math sheets, 16 reading sheets and 8 fine-motor and fun sheets. The math is teen numbers, counting to 30, before and after to 20, counting on, more and fewer, making ten, adding within 10, a first look at taking away, shapes, patterns, a graph, number words to ten and a color by number ornament.
Skills are set for the fourth month of kindergarten. The reading sheets cover first, last and middle sounds, rhyming, syllables, word families, short-vowel words such as hat, bed and mug, and the sight words my, to, go, is and it beside the ones from the fall: I, can, a, see, the and like.
Every sheet stands on its own, so use them in any order: morning work, a center, a sub folder, homework or a quiet half hour over the winter break. Each has one direction for an adult to read aloud. A few are cut-and-glue sheets, so have scissors and a glue stick ready.
The pictures are snowmen, mittens, snowflakes, penguins, gifts, bells, stars, a wreath and a tree to color. For more practice on one skill, see the kindergarten math worksheets, the sight word worksheets, the phonics worksheets and the November packet.
