Pip in the Mud

Mixed CVC Kindergarten CVC Foundations
Pip in the Mud

It was a hot day. Pip the pig sat on a log. His dog, Gus, ran up. Gus had a net. Pip had a net, too. "What can we get?" said Pip. Then a red bug ran on the log. "Get the bug!" said Pip. Pip and Gus ran with their nets. The bug went down to the mud. Pip did not want to fall in the mud. Gus put his net on the bug. He got it! "Good dog, Gus!" said Pip. They let the bug run off. It was so hot. Pip had a cup. He took a sip. Then Pip gave Gus a big hug. It was a fun, hot day.
