3She stood on the top step and held him out. "One, two, three!" she said, and she let go. The chef fell fast. Plop! He landed in the mud.

4Kim's stomach dropped. She ran down the steps and picked him up. Mud stuck to his mustache and dripped off his hat. Kim wiped him clean and sat down to think.

5Why did he fall so fast? She looked at the wet little cloth in her hand. "This chute is much too small to hold you up," she said.

7She used lots of tape to stick it to the chef's back. Kim stood on the top step again and let go. This time the big cloth puffed up like a kite.
