Kindergarten May Worksheets
Math, reading and fine-motor sheets for the last month of kindergarten in a garden bugs and flowers theme, with the end-of-year review: counting to 100, quick facts within 5, blends and a sight word certificate. Print-and-go, black and white, with one short direction to read aloud. 8 sheets are free, and the full packet of 40 is $5.
What is in the May packet
The packet has 16 math sheets, 16 reading sheets and 8 fine-motor and fun sheets. The math is the end-of-year review: counting to 100 with missing numbers on a hundreds chart, quick adding and taking away within 5, naming the shapes, longer and shorter, teen numbers on ten frames, adding within 10, making ten, more and fewer, patterns, a bug hunt graph and writing the numbers 91 to 100.
The reading sheets cover r-blends such as fr, cr and tr, ending blends such as nd, st and mp, sound boxes with four sounds, rhyming, the -est and -ump word families, two short stories to read, and a review of the year's sight words, ending with a sight word certificate.
How to use it
Every sheet stands on its own, so use them in any order: morning work, a center, a sub folder, homework or a quiet half hour at home. Each has one direction for an adult to read aloud. A few are cut-and-glue sheets, so have scissors and a glue stick ready.
Every sheet has May pictures: bees, a beehive, butterflies, a dragonfly, a grasshopper, daisies, a bug jar and a diploma. For more practice on one skill, see the kindergarten math worksheets, the sight word worksheets, the phonics worksheets and the April packet that comes before this one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the sheets print in black and white?
Yes. Every sheet is black and white line art. Coloring is something the child does. No sheet needs a color printer to be read.
Is there an answer key?
Yes, for every sheet that has one right answer. Each free PDF has its key on page 2. The packet has all the keys at the back, four to a page.
What do I get when I buy the packet?
One print-ready PDF with all 40 sheets, a contents page and the answer keys. The download link comes right after checkout and by email.
Is it an end-of-year review?
Yes. May is the last month of kindergarten, so the packet reviews the year: counting to 100, adding and taking away within 5, shapes, blends and all 36 sight words, with a certificate to finish.
Can I use it with a whole class?
Yes. You may print and copy the pages for your own classroom or your own children.
