Val's Hot Pot

Val had a big pot. She wanted to make a hot pot. But first she had to get a cob. "Where is the cob?" said Val. Dot, her dog, had it! Dot put the cob in a box. "Dot! I want that cob," said Val. Dot gave a hop. Then Dot ran to the top of the box. Val ran after Dot. Dot got the cob and gave it a lick. Then the cob fell out! Val got the cob. "Good dog, Dot!" said Val. She gave Dot a pat, pat, pat. Val put the cob in the pot. Now she could make her hot pot. It was a lot of fun!
