1Ned sat by the pool on a hot day. He had a big cup of food. "A nice cook made this good food," he thought.

2Ned took out a red spoon to eat. Plop! The spoon slipped and fell into the pool. It sank down far. Ned stood up fast.

3He put his foot into the pool to get it. But his foot could not get to the spoon. He felt sad.

4"I can not get it," Ned said. Tom came to take a look. "Do not fret," Tom said. "I can help you get it."
