Pat's Stolen Mat

Pat the cat felt hot. She wanted a nap on her mat. But a rat ran off with the mat! Pat saw the rat run past. "Oh, no!" said Pat.

The rat ran, ran, ran. Pat ran after the rat. The rat went to a man. The man had a cap on. He did not see Pat. The rat sat on the mat.

Pat felt mad. She ran to the man. She hissed, hiss, hiss. The rat did not like that. It ran off, fast. The rat did not have the mat.

Pat sat on her mat. "My mat!" said Pat. The man saw Pat. He had a big lap. Pat did not go to the man's lap. She had her mat and did a nap.
