Kate's Cake
Kate wanted to bake a cake. It was for Jane's name day. Kate had to make it safe. Max, her dog, liked to take things. Max would take the cake! Kate had a plan. She put the cake in a box. It was safe from Max in there.
"Time to play a game, Max!" Kate said. Max came at a run. Kate led Max to the gate. It was far from the cake. She gave Max a ball. "Fetch the ball, Max!" she said. Max ran. He went fast. Kate gave Max a smile. The cake was safe. It was not too late for the cake.
